Last week I met with Coach Heather from Crossfit Mozomo. I originally went to chat to her about
tweaking my diet and seeing if there was anything I was missing
or could switch up. We had a really good session and I came out with some good
tips for my diet but I think to top it all, I left with a renewed sense of what
I wanted in life. Although I was there to discuss nutrition, Heather was also
able to give a little life coaching and it really hit home. It seems that we
get into these routines and we get stuck in them. Not that these routines are bad
but it is so easy to get comfortable and stop trying new things or pushing past
our comfort zones! I realized that this is exactly what I had done. It wasn't
that I was unhappy, because I am the complete opposite, but I was no
longer giving myself a challenge or a push. I needed to do something to shake
things up.
Hours after leaving my session with Heather, I got on the phone with
Free Spirit Tours and booked a rock climbing session for Mike and I. We went the
very next day. It is amazing the difference taking one step off the track can
do for you mentally and emotionally. It was a breath of fresh air. I am
recharged and ready to take on new things and I am anxiously waiting for our next
adventure date!
Now to the no chocolate. It's going OK, but it is definitely more of a challenge then I thought (you may see chocolate in the next post). Here is my most recent creation:
Paleo Peanut Butter
Sunflower Muffins
Instead of chocolate
I threw in a few chopped up dates and they turned out really good. A perfect
grab and go snack or breaky. And if you look close you may see a glimmer of green, when you bake with sunflower butter it turns things a bright green!
