Pizza Tops
Happy Fall everyone! I think it is finally here with the temperature
drop today. I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving weekend, so many things
to be grateful for!
Switching things up from baking I thought I would share
this tasty snack. Portobello mushroom
pizzas! These make a great snack, or you can incorporate it to be a full
meal by adding a salad or side veg.
What you need:
-Portobello mushrooms (as many as you would like to make)
-Pizza/tomato sauce (I used some organic spaghetti sauce)
-Chopped up peppers
-Goatsarella (goats cheese)
-Ground meat or chicken (optional)
Simply wash the Portobello mushrooms and dry off. Then
lightly dust with some coconut oil and pre-cook the caps in the oven at 375
degrees for about 5-7 min
utes. Remove the caps from oven and spread your choice of sauce, veggies, meat and cheese over the caps. Place the pizzas back in the oven and bake again for about 20-25 minutes. And there you have it, a delicious pizza snack without all the carbs!
