Protein and Fat!

Bulletproof Meatballs

The last couple of months I have been making these amazing “Bulletproof Meatballs.” It is a quick and easy recipe that you can make large batches of for the freezer. In addition, I have been trying to add in more turmeric to my diet for the health benefits. Turmeric is the spice that gives curry its yellow tinge and has numerous medicinal benefits as well as helping reduce inflammation in the body. Until this recipe I had never used turmeric and now I just love it!

Recipe from Dave Asprey’s  Bulletproof Diet book:

1 pound ground beef (grass fed if possible)
1 egg
¼ cup almond butter
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
1 tablespoon MCT oil or coconut oil
Sea salt

Mix all ingredients together except the sea salt. I usually mix all the wet ingredients with the spices first and then mix in the ground beef. Then with a teaspoon, spoon out balls on to a baking sheet covered with tinfoil, sprinkle with sea salt and cook at 320 degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Cool and Enjoy.

Happy weekend everyone!
